Hosta image  We haven't seen Hefty all year -image  other smaller hogs seem to be visiting on a sporadic basis, but no regular snuffling and shuffling of the dishes around on the terrace yet this year.

    Morning all?

Just back from a fab holiday in Mallorcaimage.  Lovely little hotel, would happily go back there again and again.  Wall to wall sunshine and very little done, apart from hold down some rather skittish sunbeds (they fidgeted unless you lay down on them motionless for long periods of timeimage), and read lots of booksimage.  In the evenings, when it got cooler, Mr C and I did a few stunning cliff walks and climbed a mini-mountain.....Fairy would be proud of me - first time I had followed cairns for yearsimage

Have returned to a garden in pretty good shape, thanks to our lovely NDN.  Not back to work til Monday so got a few days to potter around house and garden to get things sorted.

Only read back a few pages, but so pleased to see DD and Charlie getting settled - Charlie's smiles say it allimageimageimage

Welcome home Chicky - glad you and Mr C had a lovely time - think you deserved a good holiday!

I'm back from Wrose with the pasta I forgot yesterday - also grabbed a pizza in case we don't get a chance to eat properly this evening, and some of vistor's favourite beer for the weekend.

Just having a coffee while the washing machine does it's last spin then I'll hang that lot out before making the bechamel and assembling the lasagne.

I'll need to check the pots to see if they need watering today or whether they'll be happy waiting until tomorrow ... this wind is very drying ...

    Afternoonimage

Nice day - warm and sunny. We've got that drying breeze too Dove - it's not doing the stuff in the woodland border any favours at all and I might have to look at a soaker hose like yours. I can see that would be a more effective way of watering than a sprinkler which gets blown about by the wind. And some areas are now reasonably self sufficient so I could do more targeted watering....image

Have just rubbed down the shed and will give half of it a coat later this afternoon when it's in the shade and the wood is a whole lot cooler. A bit more tomorrow and finishing coat on Sunday. At least one benefit of a forecast with no rain in for the forseeable futureimage

Chicky - pleased to hear you had such a lovely relaxing holiday - recharges the batteries doesn't it?

Joyce & Fairy - I had to turn the TV over when Murray went a break down in the final set - nerves wouldn't take it any more!

DD - Charlie looks very happy camping in his new home. So pleased things are starting to fall into place for you. Not long now.

Hope everybody has a lovely day & can spend some time enjoying the nicer weatherimage SYL

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Glad you had such a lovely break chicky - hope Mr chicky is fine too. You'll soon be Munro fit....image

    Those loungers are tricky...image

Could you send us some of that lovely weather perhaps...pretty please? Every shade of grim here, so I may have to sit and watch the 'lympics. It's a hard life....image

T'bird - I'm going to have to have words with that boy...my blood pressure was skyhigh image

You've just reminded me I have bolognese sauce to take out the freezer to make lasagne later for me and oldest fairylet Dove -  ta muchly image

Your smiles say it all DD. Positive thoughts help and you have loads of those to keep you going. We'll send you some extra ones if you lose them though. image  Loads of love to you both x

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Thanks Joyceimage.  Chicky I'm glad you had a lovely relaxing time and have been admiring your pic. Majorca is a favourite of ours tooimage. On our first day at sea we were having an early morning coffee on the deck when a pod of dolphins surfaced alongside and gave us a wonderful freestyle routineimage.

The weather here today is pretty miserable so I can't get out to rescue windblown, bedraggled plants or the obelisk which is now horizontally supporting the sweet peasimage.  You're lucky with your painting weather Topbird, even if it is a bit too hot atmimage.

Super pics of Charlie DD.  He looks very happy camping at his new homeimage.

C'mon Andyimage.  Hope he gives us an easier watch laterimage.
