2 trailer loads of weeds removed into the compost bins. Hostas and agapanthus dead headed and quaking grass removed from the drive. What a difference it makes.
I've left Hubby a couple of wee jobs for tomorrow to get on with while I'm at work.
I accidentally managed to pull out a couple of chunks of Oriental Poppy. I think I'll pot them up and see if they do anything.
And a kick up the h**e Hosta. Heard that one on the news earlier
Some daft lassies called emergency services because they got stuck on some rocks in the Falls of Dochart recently. Let's just say - if you can get onto those, you can get back off them. I don't know how these guys have the patience with some of those people.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Couldn't agree more, although the Mountain Rescue teams always state that no matter what the circumstances, they go out - they don't judge. I bet that's a really difficult thing to achieve sometimes. I've been fortunate that I've never needed their services - yet - but I often wonder what would happen if they're out dealing with some clown who's gone out completely unprepared and got into bother, as opposed to an experienced walker or climber having a slip and a broken leg (which can happen to anyone) and the service therefore not being available to them.

Congratulations on your wedding anniversary Obelixx, I hope you enjoy celebrating it tomorrow!
Not much happened here over the weekend, I have mostly been binging on box sets and napping, it was grey and drizzly and I was feeling exhausted, so it seemed like the perfect excuse to be a couch potato. Did get 5 minutes of sun yesterday, in which I sat on the decking and watched my husband repair the shed roof, which has liberated my garden fork as he had creatively been using it to stop the roof felt from flying up and away.
I learned much of my English in Lancashire but had Geordie/Durham parents so use nesh for people and plants that feel the cold and succumb at the vaguest hint of winter blasts. When it is a bit draughty I will say 'Put 'twood in th'ole" and when OH or Possum are in the way I often say 'Tha's in't road"
Possum came out with 'Tha's in't way' the other day. She can't help it. Brought up on BBC and Disney English.
Not going out tomorrow now. Saving it for after the move as we just have too much to do and lost a lot of time and impetus with the am dram dog today. She's fine but hobbles when she knows we're watching her. Horrible dog.
Hope everyone gets a good sleep and is neither too hot nor too cold.

Under " The Road Traffic Act" , if you're involved in an accident and an ambulance is called, you're billed for it.
Same should apply to lifeboats / mountain rescue.
I would like to see some of the lifeboat people honoured for risking their lives, rather than Sam Cam's stylist.
