Fairy, I winced when you wrote about the machine you have to use at work. It sounds awful.

Pat, I easily while away an hour shading one flower. . . . My daughter bought me one of Johanna's books but I haven't started it yet.

    Love it Hosta image

I've brought the big begonia and  "Hosta's canna" into the studio to protect them from the winds that are on their way - good job OH is at work today and tomorrow image

I've also cut a bunch of dahlias and picked and frozen a big colander full of raspberries.  No point in letting the rain spoil them.

Now I'm going to make Pattypan and Basil Soup for lunch ...

I just make even more noises now, when I do the slightest thing other than sit still   image

Glad you're getting there B'man. The 'lympics are good for distracting you from all the c***  image

    Hosta - brilliant!

Did you blow a big raspberry when you went past Joyce? Or wave a Mexican flag....image

I took fairylet to work last Saturday, and we went a different way after dropping off the other fairylet. Road with speed bumps, and as I trundled along, I spotted a biggish laminated sign outside a house. I was able to read it and had to pull over and stop to let fairylet see it. It read -

    FOR SALE

18 year old boy ( pix underneath )

    Lowest offer accepted

We had a right laugh at it. No camera, so I went that way the next day coming home from my walk, hoping to get a pic, but the sign had gone. I think an 18 year old boy may have removed it...image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

FG - I cracked 3 ribs not jumping over a fence with a horse years ago and I can still remember it as being exceedingly painful.   I was practising for a charity competition the following day which I still did as I had £300 of sponsorship to win.  The judge asked me if it hurt.  "Only when I breathe!".   Dressage went OK but I have to confess I did faint as I got off after the jumping.    Collected all the lovely sponsorship though and spent the next couple of weeks with strategic cushions at my desk at work and no lifting.

I do understand that parent.  Teens can be hard work.

Possum's curtains all done.  Now to tackle the covers for the sofa bed.........   Bits of old rose pink velvet fluff all over the place.  I suspect I'll go off pink for a while too, as well as orange!
