    They often sing at night. My younger daughter has to get up at stoopid o'clock for work and the one here drives her bonkers. 
    Perhaps the light makes him think it's daytime @wild edges ;)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Mine sing at midnight under halogen or LED.

    The one bursting it's lungs here at the moment is a Thrush. It starts at dawn and doesn't stop till about 10am! The poor Robin doesn't stand a chance,  it is getting drowned out.

    It has been here for 4/5 years ( at least one pair have been) @Fire ,but unlike the other birds it's rare to see it. I've heard it for two weeks now, but only caught a glimpse of it this week.

    The wrens that nested here last year have not yet returned. Fingers crossed.

    I've seen the Wren, it looked at the nest box, but hasn't been back to it, just food hunting in the beds.
