Lovely. Where were you hiding to get those photos?
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

About 6 feet away inside the house :) They were too busy eating to notice and the parents usually come running when I appear in the garden with feed.

Not exactly a moment this. Sorry about the length but it was very busy last night.  We cut the lawn yesterday. The fox cubs seem to like it better for their little legs.

I know there are various red beetles out there. This looks like a lily beetle, but was seen in a park. A cardinal beetle? Any thoughts? Thanks

That first hedgehog was very tall! :D Looks like one of the adults has lost the sight in one eye - no light reflection.

One of the cardinals. Lily Beetles and your normal cardinal beetles both have black heads but this guy is the red-headed cardinal https://www.ukbeetles.co.uk/pyrochroa-serraticirnis

The mother fox has a limp. The one that is blind in one eye was last years runt, still following Mum around in September. It is still smaller than the adults. One cub has been out on his own  for about two weeks, but while it was wet they were coming for food and then going back into  hiding.  Two cubs now. The question is are there any more in hiding still.  The deer has been here for a year now.  I think she is checking whether I have planted the cabbages or french beans yet.  At least the cubs are dancing round the lawn and not in the flower beds .

@fidgetbones , I loved the interaction between the cubs and the hedgehog 🦔. He (?) didn't seem bothered at all.
