They weren't my best pix, and I expect a video would have been better! The rain doesn't show up too well on photos but it made them a bit grainier than usual too.
I watched them for ages. It's a wonder there wasn't a few mid air collisions
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I had a look in the bee box to see if the wasps had gone, and found their nest, and there's still some of them in there, so I left them as I didn't want to disturb them more than necessary. Took a quick pic yesterday

They get such a bad press @Dovefromabove, which is a shame. I've got another nest that they access from outside the boundary fence, and it's inside the raised bed there, so I can't see it at all. It's just behind my car, so I sometimes get a wasp or two trying to hitch a lift when I open the doors
If the plants in the bed suddenly disappear, I'll know they've made a fairly big hole in there

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Not a great photo as it's dark but I'm so chuffed, I only set the pond up a few months ago!
Our usual guy.
Filmed it as I worked on my laptop from the dining table in the dining/livign room facing the garden
He's a cheeky sod @Ergates
Little bundle of sparrows were sitting on the hedge earlier. Discussing the weather possibly...
Just lovely @alberto.defanis

One of our regular visitors. Needless to say I got told off for encouraging her into the house
I play with plants and soil and sometimes it's successful
