Going back to the cat thing ,I did complain to my immediate neighbours about the cats in the garden and amount of them and she just said that cats are allowed to roam as it’s in their nature. Well that’s a cop out. I just hope they pass the law for needing cat licences maybe fewer folk will keep cats !
A legal duty of care for cats is needed in the Uk, as there is a legal duty for dogs. It's not that hard. We need to put an end to this idea that "cats need sovereignty" to kill and crap where they fancy.
I will lend you some of our deer, they hate cats and chase them out of the garden. There may be some unfortunate collateral damage to plant life though.
Thank you steephill .Sounds good. I have given up , not wishing to be ostracised by the good folk of Bucks ,but my husband seems to be using most of his retirement time chasing the furry blighters out of the garden ,it wouldn’t be so bad if he were not allergic to cats. Heigh Ho at least he gets his excessive haha .
The blackbirds clocked my cherry tree at the weekend and it has since been completely stripped of cherries! Fortunately I wasn't planning on eating them as they're sour. But I caught this cute shot of dad feeding baby
I was out on snail patrol last night, about midnight. I found our massive frog instantly, and there was lots of splashing and rustling around the pond, so I'm hoping frog has some pals.
Went round the back of the pond, trying to see if some of the rustling was the hedgehog when I came across this little cutey: palmate newt.
He was about a foot off the ground, perched on a geranium; I didn't know they could climb!
