I once sat behind Carol Klein on a flight back from Ireland. She'd been plant shopping, or had been gifted some beautiful ferns. She dozed off with them on her lap. She gave me a lovely smile whilst walking out of the airport, when she spotted me looking at her.
I always record it and watch the next day.I like the format as it is,but an hour long. Also like the retreavers because we have them. I like Nelly how she's there at the beginning and wanders off somewhere, then shows up at the end.
Oh dear the BBC has done it again. I love Monty and Carol but can do without the rest of the new one hour programme. When will the BBC learn not to destroy a winning formula. I was so bored with the new elements of the programme that I nearly turned the TV off and that would been a shame because I would have missed learning from the skills of Monty and Carol.

No shooting down here, Muddle-Up - I'm with you all the way re Carol...
with you too, and Richard. As ever.
I think Carol's great - she looks great too! (She's 71!). I hope they expand the 'Jobs for the Weekend' section - I find it so useful
If this one-hour format doesn't work I doubt that the show will get to its 50th anniversary in 2018.
Me and Carol on Gardeners World September 2012, with the new clematis Carol Klein I bred and named for her.

Well, I must say I really liked it.
Especially Carol's bit on the buttercup family, and Adam Frost with his new garden - another enthusiast, I think.
RE: hour episode
happy to meander with monty through long meadow for an hour (with dogs of course). But the other contributors? No.
