@Valley Gardener I wrote out a post earlier but couldn't have sent it as it's not here.
I thought the painting was beautiful and at first thought it was a photo. Well done.
I sent a pic of it to daughter, shes asked if I can paint one for her with a crow!!! Somehow I dont think it will have the same "Ahh" factor as a baby blackie.
The whole truth is an instrument that can only be played by an expert.
I went to a class and I made a book and I still can't quite believe it. Obviously I don't have all the necessary equipment (guillotine etc) to do it again at home, but the teacher taught us to do as many things as possible without needing equipment so I'm definitely going to have a go. Future projects might have to be a bit more 'rustic'!

Having access to an edge trimmer was a revelation! We all expected to keep the rough ('deckle') edges, which have a certain charm. But trimming them suddenly made it a proper book. That's definitely something I won't be able to do at home.

You are all so talented. I used to crochet a lot, this is something I made years ago: no skill really: just patience and time. My saintly mother attached all the squares as I was so fed up with it.

I love the depth in the ivy shadows! The wood looks so realistic too
Our woodpecker didn't visit during our birdwatch either, but she has been to peck at our hawthorn tree since!
