    So lovely. Doesn't it hurt the eyes to do such close work? Do you varnish the work or fix it somehow? I find doing fine work hard to get accurate, even with a toothpick or a fine brush. Your work is so very neat, like you've used a stencil. Lol. I salute you.

    Thankyou @Fire,    My first coat is White Gesso,from "The Works", which smooths out any bad surface bits,then a coat of pale Ivory acrylic,that gives a better surface to work on. I can do block lettering but not script. Its always worth getting good quality brushes,they are much easier to work with "Winsor and Newton"are good,or "Rosemary" it wasnt too fiddly as the pebble is a good 6/7" 
    Have you done any more?

  • Whoops!  in answer to your question, yes, I finish off with a coat of clear exterior gloss varnish.
