If they can make a coat after practice, why are they surprised that a jacket sleeve comes in 2 parts?   How did they not understand the difference between a left and a right sleeve?

I thought the best coat was the unfinished orange one with those "post card" appliqué.  Had to google Hong Kong binding and will try that next time I make a jacket altho I do like to line at least the sleeves and yoke.

I think Joe is better at presenting this than Claudia because she pretended to be dumb when she clearly is not.  Clever women should not hide.

Tried watching the pottery and the artists but was not fascinated so gave up.

Have finally finished the hand sewing on the latest machine patch project - quarter square triangles and flying geese with no fabric loss.  Had to use cream binding cos I couldn't find the right blue .

Now I'll have to do a bigger one for the sideboard..........

    That's very nice @obelixx
    What's that one for?

Thanks Logan.   Not sure about the stripy bits but teacher insisted to show the joins.  It's on a rosewood military chest in the dining room.

Beautiful Obelixx and, on a large scale, would be a lovely patchwork quilt pattern.

Thanks Joyce.  Maybe later.   I'm already working on a 140cm square mystery quilt at Monday patch group and Possum wants a moon and stars quilt for her double bed - something like this -
and we've moved on to Disappearing 9 patch for our next project.......

It looks quite straightforward but won't be.  So far I've used a "Dresden plate" pattern in 3 rings to make the moon in different textures of white.   Now I need to assemble the various strips for the background and put it all together and work out how to quilt it.   Simples.

    It's never simple :)

No sense of achievement if it's too simple Logan and I am learning such a lot at the machine patch class which is just once a month and don't want to get ahead of myself and do something daft when there's a good technique coming up.
