@Valleysgirl I love these randomly striped yarns, the last pic was done from a "Cake" of yarn. Because it's a long time since I've done anything other than baby clothes, these fancy balls of wool are all new to me!
The whole truth is an instrument that can only be played by an expert.
Hi folks haven't posted on here for a while. Thanks for showing all your lovely work. Here are a few of my paintings. A variety of mediums inc. pastel, watercolour and pen/wash.
@Yviestevie - your art work is absolutely stunning. Pictures 5 and 6 really draw me in as they remind me so much of the Lake District - much loved by me and my family. The sunflowers and calla lilies are just beautiful.
Awesome!
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
I’ll second that what has been said about Yviestevies art work , some of you gardners have other hidden talents keep on showing your work it sure makes us smile , Stunning !
Thanks for all your lovely comments. I started going to an art class about a year ago to give me a lift especially in the winter months. It’s giving me some valuable me time. Always liked the idea of being able to draw and paint but never had a chance to ‘give it a go’ until now. Just shows you can teach an old dog new tricks. I’ve just booked a short painting holiday at Usk near Monmouth to try painting outside. I’ve decided I don’t care what people might say when they walk past I’m just going to enjoy myself.
If you’ve ever fancied learning something new take the plunge and do it
Yviestevie I you are coming to my neck of the woods as they say , noted for artists, writers abound and places to walk like The Sugarloaf , Skirrid only takes 1hr and bit to walk up and plenty of partner gardens unfortunately not open yet . Enjoy your holiday .
