I've been making patchwork squares for a curtain for the local church. It's a joint effort with several other ladies. We have to make 9 each, 25cm x 25cm with a border included. Taking a bit of time as I'm sewing cardboard squares in first to keep it straight then sewing them together, then taking the cardboard out. Here are 6 of them, about the size of a cot quilt.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I like your patchwork Busy. I'm making a "trousse" today. Sort of a fabric folder with pockets and slots to hold sewing stuff for patchwork group. Carefully cut out and ironed the pieces form my own fabric yesterday and then carefully left it on the ironing table so bought some Provençal print from the patchwork club stash. Much brighter and jazzier than my original choice but still blue.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Such a lot of work BL, and it should make a very nice curtain. I haven’t done patchwotking for about 20 plus years. Don’t think I’d have the patience now.
Obelixx, you are constantly amazing me what with your dressmaking and patchwork as well. You’re all very clever.
Hello Pauline. I use Faber Castell Polychromos pencils. IMO they are the best coloured pencils available. I’ve tried the other brands, but they either break easily or they don’t go on smoothly enough for my preference.
Bye the bye, Pauline, some art supply shops sell stock with individual colours, so you don’t have to buy a whole set which can include some colours you think you won’t need.

That's lovely, Pat. I like the way you've limited the range of colours... very easy on the eye.

Lovely colours Pat and so very smooth too.

Thanks for your compliments.
Liri, I’m enjoying your jigsaws.
That's good, Pat! The jigsaws are fun to make, too, and mean that I look in more detail at the photos I've taken.
Wish I was clever at sewing... I'm very slow, and not terribly confident. I could do with going to a class, really. Your patchwork is very pretty, BL.
That's lovely Pat. What pens do you use? I have started colouring to stop me getting bored while I recuperate and am using gel pens.

Thanks Pat. I will have to look out for them when I go into the main town.

Here is my "trousse", complete with detachable pin cushion and zipped pencil case and slots for A4 papers for patterns, instructions, notes......
Now for a purse. Why not?
