Ifor one, do not think " the NHS has gone to the dogs" I'm a huge fan.
Yes there are problems, yes there is waste, and yes, we could, and some would argue , should spent more money on it. But I've never come across a system I'd like to see replace it.
Overseas aid has nothing to do with the in-or-out EU vote. We will continue to give our defined contribution whatever happens and whoever is in government; It's an international obligation. What I am seeing in reality is that this government has failed in controlling all types of immigration and has now restricted student visas (because this is one of the few things they can control) and this is already severely damaging our universities (overseas students pay far more than double the fees paid by UK nationals.) My local university is having to shed 150 jobs right now. If we leave the EU things will become impossible and home grown student fees will have to rise sharply (potentially double) and some universites will close. That is a fact.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

Well, I speak from personal experience, that of our son's partner's, a career nurse at the MRI, our daughter's, a nurse first at GOS and later St Mary's Paddington and that of my wife's, a long term sufferer of MS and cancer. They all think the NHS has gone to the dogs.
Unfortunately, there's generations who have no experience of how much better was the care, (not necessarily the cures) in past decades, when the service wasn't as over-stretched..
I don't think you need to go back decades to see a deterioration in the NHS. With my GP, just a few years ago, you could get a non-urgent appointment within a couple of days. Now you will have to wait 2 or 3 weeks. In fact just looking at the surgery's on-line booking system they have appointments on 4th of July and then nothing until the 18th of July. Even non-urgent could become very urgent in that timescale. It is massively over stretched, but I wouldn't go so far as to say it's gone to the dogs - YET.
I get to see my GP on the day I call 100% of the time. I'm not speaking for anyone else, but I'd love to hear of a system better than the NHS. If we all offered to pay more income tax, I'm sure that would help.
I was taken to hospital in India and they swiped my credit card before they even got me out of the wheelchair.

Thanks Liri, I did , for a moment, worry.

Which, to drag this kicking and scream back to the referendum, has sod all to do with the EU and lots to do with underinvestment from UK Governments.
