Insect bites
I've just been outside to rescue some shears left outside earlier. Stupidly cut some grass too and I've been eaten alive.
I have at least 8 bites, each swollen to size of 10p I sadly didn't put repellant on.
Any tips on treating the current bites or preventing others?
Both my partner and allergic
I will be more careful next time

I posted a similar question a few weeks ago and several people recommended. Avon skin so soft. I thought it was a mass wind-up and became a bit paranoid!
Anyway, I got some off Amazon and it really works!
Pat the bites you have with vinegar it'll stop the itching and help the swelling but you'll niff a bit
I've heard of skin so soft. Usually use jungle formula but clearly need to up my game again. Currently playing dot to dot!
I get eaten alive all summer. Close of day, and shady morning spots bring me in more contact with the beasts. I've just learned to live with it. I have two massive bumps on bum, and others sores. If I don't scratch them, I forget about them.
But they have to be scratched

B3 I meant to ask was it successful? I'm glad to hear it worked. The entire British Army can't be wrong. I think I'll get some because there are some big nasty things in under my trees and they leap out when I'm cutting the grass.
I keep it by the back door so that I remember to use it. I still feel a bit like Indiana Jones if I go down the end of the garden after about 3pm, though.
Trust me - skin so soft works. There are thousands of walkers who'd never get near hills up here if it wasn't for it. It's on sale at every overnight stopping point on the West Highland Way for the same reason
I'm lucky - midges don't really bother me.
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I'm off into the undergrowth again any minute now.
I wonder what will have me today
, the ants? the mozzies? horseflies? unidentified others? or just the nettles?
