I have to confess I've been doing quite a bit in the garden and it's looking fairly smart.  However, I have found some sheets in the tumble dryer that were put in their last week.  I must have forgotten to switch it on.image  Think I might need to wash them again.image

Gulp!  after 28 yrs of the neighbours Leylandii and needing to replace a lot of the fencing we got rather carried away.

Last summer we did this. The existing montana  had done a good job of filling in by last autumn and that has continued this year.

The Clematis montana was already there lost among the fronds. I planted another Montana further down and a Rambling Rector on the left hand end. I am sure it will cover it in the end.

Still feeling a bit guilty. imageimageimage

That's fair enough Yvie. Can't do everything you know! image

Do keep an eye on that gardening business though. I don't want to have to worry about you! image

There is no shame in gardening so long as it's done in the spirit of GoS.

I hate it when you start to iron something and the smell wafts up at you. It normally happens to me on the second sleeve.  Also, why is it that you only find the grease spot on the last bit?image

Ooh.... Iamwedy that's a cracking photo for the GOS image

Do your neighbours have any idea how it looks from your side of the fence?

PP: Nowt wrong with a bit of tough love. Good luck prising it out of that pot though, think some surgery with a pair of scissors is needed. Shame really, waste of a good pot if you have to chop it open. image

kitty 2 I don't think  they do know.  The hedges were put up as we moved in . A large old house was there once  and horses were grazing on the land. The neigbours objected to the land being used for 30 houses.

Iamweedy: New build then? Good news, they've no cause for complaint about your wanton destruction if they are clueless as to what was there before. You may have got away with it by the skin of your teeth. Shame you have to live with the ugly side, if you were a bit more devious you could have killed the lot off before they moved in and planted a prettier hedge on your side.

Housework is going well. I'm going for the au natural look in the lounge. Sans furniture, wiring, plaster, or ceiling.

I think it will really work well and already have plans to spread the design to the hallway, landing, bedrooms...
