I live in a country where snails are a delicacy image they taste like black rubber and garlic image

July is a month when gardening should be kept to minimum, it's the holidays. The holiday in France start at the beginning of July. That applies to HW too.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Plantpauper and Muddle, I have a confession, image I've been doing stuff in the said mucky bit, however, you will be happy to know that in doing so I have dispersed mess to a wider and completely different section of the garden! image the mucky bit does have plans but only as this is the only part that isn't overlooked. The mucky bit is moving and getting bigger! Dove, you gonna bust with pride when I'm done! image

I will take pictures to reassure all of my continued neglect and botch jobs!

Glad to see GoS revived in my absence. I assumed that shameful secrets would be cloaked in a mantle of summer flowers  - much like snow hides a multitude of sloth. Roadsides awash with wildflowers in Ireland but I was too lazy to get out of the car to photograph them.

Arrived home in the dark. Neighbour has been looking after my plants and from what I can see , even the deadheading has been done so I'm honour bound to keep up the good work.  Will have to sweep stuff under the proverbial carpet for a while.

Saw the article about organic slime. I am now becoming concerned about dogs, cats and farm animals which have been organically reared and what H&B might be consideringimage

I think it's voting with its feet! In the GoS plants need to learn self-reliance early. We're doing them a favour reallyimage

FG and all those other people who know stuff are always saying "don't make your plants into softies". I'm rearing these for UFC! image

What's UFC? Is it a football team?
