National Limerick Day!

Come on and give it a shot,

Whether garden related or not,

No prizes to be won ,

It's all just for fun,

And surely you can do much better than this.....

up and at it boys and girls

sow it, plant it and wait for the thrill.

a rhyming couplet rather than a limerick.

A peaceful young man named Joe Warden

Had slugs and snails in his garden

    They made him quite sick

So he got out a brick

And rampaged like a real hard man

    Great fun, everyone.

In garden all day, I might break into song,

If only that would frighten the slugs

I'd stop for some tea, but I ran out of mugs.

But at least my seedlings are strong.

Nutcutlet, an ID, am I doing things wrong?

Is it just me or are these leaves a bit spotty?

It's sunny today, but it won't be for long,

So pot and repot and go a little bit potty.

Most excellent pitter patter. What's that picture on your avatar? It looks like Vincent van Gogh does gardening. I love it!

Oh b*****ks it's started to rain,

The garden is on hold again,

    And just when I thought,

I could plant things I'd bought,

    I'm in looking out...what a pain!
