    Hi aym

    it is weigela middendorffiana,sun was short lived cloudy now don't want any more rain imagethe cistus is in the front garden flowers well but doesn't do much growing , spend more time on the back so forget whats in the front garden, all flowers welcome including holiday snaps all a pleasure to seeimage

    Aym...The woodpecker is brilliant. I'm glad you decided to post your holiday pics. Those wild orchids areal beaut. It's illegal to dig those up and take them home...so don't get caught folks! Lol

    I had a look at plant photos for sale on rhs website and elsewhere. None of them was better than the wonderful photos seen daily on this forum. I wonder if we might be missing a trick here.

    I have Miss Wilmotts ghost, never knew the story but did often wonder. Amazing and I will never be cross with it again ( it is a very slow grower and gets threatened by me each year)
