Yes aym i agree with Zenjeff regarding the eryngium. Like a thistle...only a very nice thistle! Zenjeff...your first photo, is it a member of the clematis family? Looks very similar to madame julia Correvon...only a skinnier flower, if you know what I mean.
aym...I'm waiting on my clematis President. Have had one big beautiful flower from it this year but I wanted more flowers so I cut a few stems that have now split into two stems each and all have buds...so fingers crossed!! Sadly my Madame Julia Correvon has white powdery spots on some if the flowers. Boo hoo!!
We do our weekly shop in Morrisons and have got some herbs from there and they have some nice looking Acers too. Columbia Road market is more of a tourist attraction these days and the prices there reflect that. At the time we really were green!! A bus journey from Kensal Rise to the flower market and back must have taken half a day aym! Got Sporaxis from poundland which are growing but no flower heads as of yet.

Woah! That's where ours is from. Columbia road flower market 2 years ago. Got that and Choisya orange blossom.
They were £8...or two for £15. For the clematis
