Lilium 'Eurydice'. One of the North hybrids, bred in the 1950s by Dr Christopher North to withstand UK conditions better. Its first flower in my new front garden design, but it is looking happy, so I'm hoping it will bulk up well and produce a good clump.
Next: Papaver somniferum 'Danebrog' which has caused my neighbour Arthur, who has a Danish wife, to take lots of photos.
Just something cheerful to brighten the spirits in all this rain.
PS: aym, Allium cristophii is actually a really GOOD wrong plant to have--it's persistent, fairly tidy in its habits. Christopher Lloyd has a good bit about this in his books. I ordered Geranium pratense 'Midnight Blue' but received G. 'Johnson's Blue'--however in the end I was fairly happy with the result:
Aym, we all need a laugh at this time - at any time - I think your idea of a gardening equivalent of Crimewatch is a goer - Pestwatch? SSwatch? Weedwatch? Holewatch?

Love the deep pink hydrangea.
Thanks Joyce.
Such a gorgeous pink rose. It lifts the spirits.

Cambridgerose I think you got what you ordered as that's not Johnson's blue. Johnson's blue has rounder slightly hairy leaves.
