You can never tell, Chicky. Sometimes you can be lucky and get them through. So much depends on weather conditions, doesn't it? I'm still picking tomatoes, but I don't expect many more will be fertilised by the bees. We've had our first frost in the last week. I've still got two mature cayenne chilli plants with a full load of deep green chillies, and managed to pick one red one yesterday, but need to cover them every night,
Strange how our seasons seem similar. I always think of Autumn and spring as being "between" seasons. Neither winter nor summer.
Same weather here too. Shame about your tomatoes chicky. The same happened to my cosmos and I was also wondering whether it was too late to sow some more. Maybe a trip to the GC to see what they've got.
Congratulations Panda. What a fantastic start to the New Year you're going to have.
Fairy I hope the building work is coming on apace and that you'll soon have your own space. A bit of dust (OK a lot of dust) will soon be forgotten.
Good luck with preparations for your open day Lizzie.
Steve, sorry to hear about your OH and her sister. I hope there is some good news on the horizon.
A gorgeous day in the offing - just a shame I have places to be and people to see today which can't be rearranged ... hope spring lasts a few days longer
OH did lots in the garden yesterday and the new bed is completely dug out. There are some roots and lumps to sift out, but we're getting there

Without sounding doomy and gloomy, you might end up paying over the odds for wedding suppliers on NYE, so watch out! I'm a wedding photographer and wouldn't even entertain working on NYE unless I absolutely had to...
Great day for a wedding though, you'll never forget your anniversary! I got married the day before NYE, and it's a really special time of year
Daughter made a Death Star cake - think there's a strong possibility that there's some death star plaster dust in it....
Good luck with it all BL. I could never contemplate all of that. It's hard enough just keeping a small garden in shape never mind yours - and then letting other people in to examine it and provide for them...
Lovely news Panda - many congrats! Will you have a bamboo starter?
Sow some more chicky - they'll catch up well enough I think, especially if you keep them undercover.
Have to go soon so have a good day everyone. Hope anyone who is ill, or having difficulties, has a better day.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Morning all/afternoon Pat. A bit breezy but dry.

Are you off to work now?
Walked 11 miles yesterday, feeling a little tired today!
Good morning chicky and those to come, hi Pat

Good morning Bushman, Lesley, Clari and Dove. I hope you all have a goof day.
I've just been passed a lovely cuppa, so time for a nice drink then out to cover the plants again. Seems no time since I took them off.

Morning all. Thank you for the good luck wishes. I'll need them. The weather forecast is awful, thunderstorms and strong winds.
