We had to go to the SM this morning so went to the GC s well. I wanted a group 3 clematis, preferably Niobe, and a honeysuckle "Serotina" but the GC had neither. I asked an employee which of the clematis that they had, very limited choice, were pruning group 3 and he hadn't a clue what I was talking about. He wasn't a salesperson, he was one of the GC's "trained advisors". French GCs aren't a patch on English ones. There were loads of pelargoniums though.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Hit the garden centre at 0830 to get the 10% discount, managed to only spend £65 on plants for the new bed created when the driveway was done this week. Dug in the 280l of poop that I bought, need more!
Poor Wonky Naughty Dove I had to read back. For a few seconds I thought Pdoc had eaten smoked cat Glad you enjoyed your break Pdoc.
Grotty weather here typical Bank hols I feel sad for peeps who wanted to get out and about on their day off.
Not much happening here, some plants have gone into GH to toughen up in between showers I took my car for a run down the dual carriage way as it hasn't been out for a while and the poor thing got wet !!
Hope the Gerbils aren't lonely if Dove & Co are out for the day

Lidl and Morrison's a treat, eh, Hosta? You do live it up!
There once was a lady from Bude...
Which island Lirio if you mind me asking?
Joyce, it's the Isle of Lismore. Very small, in Loch Linnhe.
My home town was Oban . Lismore is lovely. Enjoy
Thank you Joyce - I will!! The primroses and violets should be out...
Lidl was a waste of time, but Morrisons yeilded 4 good sized clematis at £5 each and , Verdun....., 2 Hosta Gold Standard for £3 the pair.
Bargains indeed.
Punkdoc's meal sounds yummy.
