Hello everyone. I've read all your posts, and now feel able face the rest of the day (10.30) here.
We've to take HRH into town for a bath and blow dry. We had a disturbed night last night with her. Firstly she jumped off her bed at 2.15am (after I'd nodded off at about 1am.), she was coughing and as it turned out on investigation, vomiting. So she was put out to finish off, then she woke at 7am, again dancing around agitatedly and coughing again, so out for another vomit. I'm not sure how long the antibiotics stayed in. She only has a little left in the bottle.
It was minus 7c this morning, and when I opened the GH, the thermometer showed that it had been minus 4c in there. Sunny now and rather pleasant, but apart from again pulling more tomato and chilli plants out, I'll be glad to go to town for something to distract me.
Good luck with that Dove. You might have to be the barrister at your house. Best wishes, again, for your day.
hi Edd. I'm not long back from town so I didn't see your post until now. We are about to go into winter, officially on 1st June, but I prefer to use the 21st or 22nd for my seasonal change. They have the official opening of the ski season on the first weekend in June at Thredbo and Perisher. That's about an hour's drive from here.
Here you go Dove ....just in case OH was oblivious
Chicklet goes back today and littlest Chicklet is in the throes of exams (AS = half A-levels) .....
Glad the plumbing mystery was found and solved Liri - I am in awe
We stayed in Salo Lizzie - beautiful And it was just sisters Wonky
Hope Mr Joyce is feeling better today, and that the Panda elbow thaws. And sympathies Lily on the deer - you want to deter them if you can, they are pretty destructive in a garden. Rosebuds are second only to tulips on their favourite food list
Lily send the deer my way; I'm sure I can make space in the freezer!
Morning all! What a grey emotive day outside. I hope Wonky and Dove find themselves full of cheer on this less than nice day. I just know that you'll have lots of happy memories to smile about.
Back to work today so I really ought get out of bed and chamber into the shower! Keep safe everyone.
Morning Joyce, Chicky, Dove, Clari and Pat and of course all that follow.
Dove and WW, I'm sure that although today will be difficult, hard to say goodbye, but it's also a celebration of a long and fulfilling life.
The bride and all the guests were beautiful people yesterday at the wedding, in every way, very respectful and appreciative and of course the chateau is a beautiful setting. They had flown in from all over the world, mostly from Sydney but also, Hong Kong and London and America. A Chinese family and they started with a tea ceremony, all went well and when I left at 1 in the morning the younger ones were still going strong. Now I am waiting for my B&B guests to come down for breakfast having already been to the bakery, hopefully a calmer day today though.
