I put on big socks this morning. If I'm cold there is something seriously wrong! image

    Who's taking a riddle in a pot? Honestly.....imageimage

I can't keep up any more so I'll take the easy way out and say I hope everyone is ok and anyone having a rough time is having a better day image image

Lousy here too Hosta. It just scraped into double figures for a little while. Wet and miserable, although yesterday was more spectacularly wet. It's my fault for getting an outside tap. image

    Plants were needing it though.

I now have an 'area' under the window of the new extension which I can plant up ( after I sort it all of course) South facing and plenty of wall space, so I will have a hot border I think. Bench will also go there, not that I'll sit on it very often. image

    Evening all.

Sorry Hosta, and fg., warm and sunny until 4 o'clock, so been busy.

Just rewarding myself with a G@T, and then will cook some dinner.

A hot border sounds like fun Fairy - great to see your building work has turned the corner from chaos into planting opportunities ....things are looking upimage

Waiting in the gym carpark for pilates to start - with time for a noodle with you lot first.  Cold and windy here - weekend looking dire too.

Hows the knee Hosta?  Can you dance a jig yet to warm up image

Glad hubby is doing well Joyce. A relief for you all  image

The 'midge' leaves me alone on the whole, so I'm quite lucky. Don't think the forecast is too promising for the next few days, so you may not get much done outdoors. image

Friends of OH are coming to stay tomorrow night so I've been doing HW all afternoon. OH has helped with the hoovering. I've cleaned the spare bedroom and it's ensuite, washed the stairs (long overdue image), cleaned all the pictures and family photos on the landing, another bathroom and the spare bedroom that grandchildren sleep in (realised I hadn't done it since they last came).

Now about to cook fish, bream, with asparagus. Realise kitchen is very untidy. We sit at the kitchen table with our laptops and loads of papers and discarded items of clothing that never seem to get put away. Well, this year you never know if you are going to need and extra pullover or fleece. Not that warm at the moment.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    Woodburner lit.

Chicky, the knee is getting better, very , very slowly. I'm signed off work for another week and I think that'll be it. I'll see Doc and see if she reckons I'm ok to go back. JLP Occupational Therapist has decreed I'm "on non driving duties for 4 weeks". tee hee, That hasn't gone down too well.

I think a day of potting up / on dahlias in the tunnel tomorrow is on the cards.

Keep up the good work Joyce's OH.

    Devon.

Glad your hub is back home Joyce image

Hosta - take care, don't overdo it.  Weather's been lovely here - warm and sunny with a light breeze - three lines of washing dry, ironed and put away image

    BL - enjoy your guests

Chilli for dinner here - seems appropriate  image

Can't really complain about the weather doc - it's been very dry for the last month, and that's helped me enormously! Heating's not reliably in the off position till late May here. Even if it's just a half hour in the morning.

chicky - turned the corner properly now thanks. I always intended it to be a hot area, and there's more room now as I have the window instead of french doors out to a balcony, which was making it too expensive. Every cloud... image

I could do with you here to clean all my dusty rooms BL. You have the knack...image

I hope you won'y be too overworked when you do go back to work Hosta. Don't want to undo all the progress. image
