    No, when I stripped the walls prior to the new kitchen going in, half the plaster came off. The plasterer said it was because PVA on the walls, if you use a steam stripper, blows the old plaster off. he said he gets a lot of work that way. £600 bill later, I am using a standard white paint, watered down a bit for the roller. it has soaked up the first two lots of paint. A bit more to go on tomorrow.

    I did spend a week camping style.. no electric in the kitchen,microwave and kettle in the living room. I always had a bed to go to at night. I couldn't go without a bed for four years.

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Just back from garden club meeting. Another volunteer to help at mu Open Garden. Can't relax obelixx, giving a power point talk on creating an English garden in France for a gardening club on the edge of Charente on Thursday. Then I can relax image

    Hi all

    had a garden reshuffle yesterday - realised I had a front garden so I now have loads of space! Looking forward to the warm weather at the weekend and also Captain America -Civil War - am a real sucker for anything Marvel
