Morning Dove - our earlier posts crossed. Yes - OH does know the the train's been cancelled. Makes me so that a few idiots spoil it for everyone.
Re the website - I'll be much happier when they've played about with the spacing and general look of it. Poor Daniel was fielding questions and comments on here till quite late last night and has already posted this morning. Hope he gets to enjoy the nice weather today!
They've put their hands up to not getting things right but explained why the changes were needed and I do believe they are trying to sort things out for us
And I like being able to use the forum smilies on my iPad - couldn't see the toolbar before.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Yesterday morning I sprayed the docks under the top Apple tree . Yesterday afternoon it monsooned it down. Well that was a waste of time then. I think a lot of barbeques around here were abruptly cancelled. Today starts bright and sunny. Up and at em, forkers.
Thanks Topbird. I've had a lovely quiet day. Phone calls from both son and daughter and a very nice cooked breakfast - bacon and eggs.
I'm finding it hard to get used to the days getting dark so early. It's not helped by the clouds today, but I'm not complaining about the drizzle. 1.5 mm this morning, and another 2mm this afternoon. Not a lot but it all helps,
Today, apart from a quick visit to the veg garden to open and then close the GH and to remove the cover and then replace it over the chilli plant all too soon, it seems. I've been finishing off a couple of cardigans I've been knitting for my friend's granddaughter who has just turned 2. I'm now working on the first of two knitted dresses that her mother sent the pattern and wool for. The cardigans were supposed to have blanket stitch around all borders, but I decided on crochet. I'm not very happy about the look of the crochet, but I'm not really much of a crochet person. The child's mother says she doesn't mind, because she can't knit herself. I might try to post a photo later, but I can't interrupt this or I'll lose it.
I've also been doing more jigsaw puzzles on the iPad. It's a bit addictive.
Are you all ready for Eurovision? We've got an entry this time. She won a singing contest here last year - can't remember if it was Idol, Talent or Voice, but one of them. She's pretty good.
Saw the pictures of a flooded Malvern show yesterday afternoon, and couldn't quite believe it given our wall to wall sunshine. It was obviously a mixed bag. Hope everyone gets a nice day today
I asked Hubby to put the wildlife camera into the GH because something was spilling potting mix everywhere below the tub of strawberries. I guess the little mouse won't eat much.

Morning all.
Beautiful blue skies and glorious sunshine, hope this is the start of a lovely summer.
Still finding it difficult to get on here. What thread did Daniel post on please. Still trying to find my way round on this tablet.
Hope you all have a great day.
xx
I know the EU is all for expanding its borders, but Australia seems a bit extreme
Do you think we'll get visa-free travel ??
Oops sorry Lizzie, have a lovely day. Bet your garden looks fabulous. X
