I've just tried Hubby's suggestion of touching the little circular arrow at the top of the screen, and what do you know, it worked. I've been able to read everyone's posts without sending a dummy one first. It seems as though I'm beginning to work the new system out, after all.
It's Mother's Day today, and have received a lovely message from our Son along with a photo of one of his cats. She's a gorgeous little thing. We're planning a very quiet day here which suits me very well. The concrete outside looks wet, so hurray, we've had rain overnight. When we were out the back yesterday, we noted that the dams are all about a metre below their levels, so any rain will be appreciated.
Morning Joyce. Your friend must be keen. They've been getting a lot of rain over the last few days, and when it rains up there, IT REALLY RAINS - talk about tropical downpour, you have to experience it to believe it. one time I had to pull over and wait it out because the windscreen wipers just couldn't cope.
wet drizzle here today, for which we are suitably grateful.
Bit early for me on a weekend, but woke up with a start for some reason, and now can't drop back off. So tea and a forum mooch happening instead. Need to get out there before it gets too hot (now thats something I've not said for a few months) as I've got some more coldframe plants to get in the ground. And my hammock beckons too???
I'm getting the hang of things on here too Pat - just a few more tweaks and I think it'll be ok - I did have serious doubts earlier
Topbird, was it your OH who wanted to photograph the Flying Scotsman on it's visit to Norwich later this month? Has he picked up that the visit has been postponed due to the problems caused on previous trips by idiots on the line???
It's a glorious morning - nearly 18C already and only dropping to 10.7C overnight. The wildlife seemed to enjoy the warm night too - I heard tawny owls and muntjacs calling quite close by, and I'm sure I heard a barn owl too - I've not heard one around here before
And I have an announcerment to make - today is Officially Gardening and BBQing day today !!! And the sunlounger is coming out of the garage
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning - glorious day out there. A few domestic tasks to attend to followed by light gardening duties then chair / book / snooze. Lovely
Hope BL's day goes well.
Hope Panda's head is not too sore after all that fizz yesterday - love your photo of her Chicky - did you sneek in the shop when she was trying it on ?
And happy Mothers Day to Pat !
Enjoy Sunday folks - gonna be a hot one
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
