Not on the subject of language but here's another thing which drives me insane... As a pedestrian, I'm waiting to cross the road. I could get across except for one car which is coming towards me. I wait for it to pass me. Then, after I've missed several opportunities to cross because of waiting for it, said car suddenly turns up a side road a few yards before it reaches me. No indication, nothing!! The driver must have seen me, I'm hovering around on the kerb and wearing a red coat!! I'm obviously of such little significance to this person that I don't even warrant the courtesy of an early indication - or any indication.

I feel better for that...I'll shut up nowimage

I expect drivers who do that are searching for a street name so they don't notice the pedestrian. There are so many things to look out for when driving that I think some people just don't see everything. Not talking about me of course!

I could have done with the cam today, he hadnt put it back in the car.  I went shopping there is an area with a large yellow box junction, it was clear to I carried on, a woman in her 40s  I would say, came out a left hand junction, without indicating, I had to jamb the brakes on.  At the end of the road, roundabout, she went over to the right, (nope she didnt indicate) I indicated, went round the roundabout, indicated and went off my exit, she from the right hand lane desided she was cutting across me, (why did she buy a car without indicators) whilst moaning at me, she went up to the next roundabout taking up both lanes.  I did the Advanced Driving test with a Police examiner, I dont tailgate, I keep stopping distances, so does OH

"It wasnt my Hubby who did the tail gating, it was the transit that overtook him of course it was white!"  -  I misunderstood as well - sorry!

The speed limit is a maximum, not a target, as I would have been told if I'd taken up the option of the speed awareness course.image

I, too, detest motorists who think I'm psychic!  Use of brake lights as a warning is also useful.
