East Anglia is highly agricultural and my family are farmers.  The area also has a fishing fleet - the consensus that I hear around here is that quitting the EU would spell economic disaster.

Hope all those disaffected Cornish fishermen are taking advantage of this, and not just moaning into their pints of Doom Bar https://www.businesscornwall.co.uk/news-by-location/truro-business-news/2016/02/fisheries-grant-funds-for-cornwall/

Apparently Cornwall receives more EU money than any other county in England - but is there the possibility that some Cornish businesses have shot themselves in their collective feet by not following the regulations? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-cornwall-35382262

I suspect that a lot of the moaning about the EU is because small business don't like paperwork - well, that's just life in the 21st century - we all have lots of paperwork to complete - it's not just the fishermen and the farmers.

Tetley, your view on security, is not shared by the Director of the CIA, who felt that the security of Europe, was much enhanced by a united EU. The USA view, on almost all things appears to be that the UK in the EU, is much better for them. I presume no one thinks they have any particular bias.

I believe Obama is due here before the referendum, and will support this view. [ subtly I assume ]

Tetley, those views are not shared with John Brennan.

We want to move to Cornwall Verdun, somewhere near Boscastle - we were there at the weekend, peace and quiet, sea, natural springs. Heaven. We can pretty much work anywhere in our professions.
