Hello Betty. This is the thread where we chat, not so often about gardening. Some of us have been here a long time, others are fairly new. Welcome. I hope you like it here.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Hello Betty - welcome to the Forum image - some of them are slightly bonkers on here - enjoyimage

Lovely sunny day at the moment - but a few heavy showers around too. Trying to weed and mulch a small area but I'm just doing an hour or so at a time - slept awkwardly and shoulder is - ouch.

Hubby finished work, so lunch is being prepared. Showers make continuing the garden doubtful. See how things pan out.

    Welcome Betty.

Hello Betty!  Always good to welcome someone new.  image

As Topbird says, some of us are slightly bonkers...  and why not indeed!  image  It's a great group, very supportive and friendly.

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
  • Hi all, quick pop in. Hello Betty too. image

Trying to get motivated re welcoming visitors for 5 days, somehow or other the h*******k and food preparation tasks just not getting me excited. I keep wondering if they would notice the difference, I did just clean up on Friday. My friend is a vegan, not the easiest person to prepare for and the couscous recipes are leaving me uninspired. image

Also having daydreams about Hot Cross Buns, someone not a million miles from here keeps mentioning them, shame I have to wait until April to get even close to a taste. imageimage

Going to see what I can do vegan like with bananas now for dessert. image

DD, Hubby does a nice meal with chick pea, tomatoes and couscous. If you want the recipe I can post it to you. It's quick and easy.

bed time now for us, but I can organise it in my morning if you're interested.image

  • I thought being bonkers was a requirement for being allowed in the roomimage

Are you now saying that there are some sane people in here? image

If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.

It's the quirkiness that's so enjoyable.
