Awe that's really nice of him wonky How exciting!, I remember my first day driving on my own at 18 years old, my first car was a mini , what type of car has he got you wonky?
Great walk Hosta thanks. Not the most exciting hill - a high level traverse really the length of the glen - but great views across to the northern and western Cairngorms, some of the Glenshee hills, and the back end of the Lochnagar hills. Got some nice ones of the loch - it's still quite frozen. I couldn't resist and did a little stone skimming.....bit of a cheat when it's frozen though!
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Thanks Hazel so chuffed! I'm very independent and hate relying on other people as I detest being late! Being able to escape the concrete and get out to the country is what I'm really excited about! That and not having to carry compost anymore!
Its not a very big car but I'm not a very big womble. I learned to drive in a Clio and feel comfortable with them.
BusyL, he's a boy car as I'm following the rule the cats have set. The girl loves hubby and the boy loves me! So his car is a lady and mines a fella. see Hosta, us ladies are very sensible and knowledgeable about these things!
Glad you had a good walk Fairy I never could do the stone skimming thing, too heavy handed I think bet the air is beautifully clear on your walks, love your descriptions and pictures!
Flumpy, bit worried about driving on my own in the town, country is fine but I get lost in town! Can't tell one estate from another, a million magnolia houses, all exactly the same! In the countryside I know every bit of cow parsley and every ditch and pothole but in town....I switch off as its all so boring! So watch out on the roads everyone for a glazed over womble at the wheel!
Get seed sowing Hosta, mine have been popping through the soil, more each day!
Wonks - the freedom it gives you is incalculable. Virtually impossible for me to hillwalk without a car. 'Me' time when I'm driving!
Clear air and peace. Just perfect.
I spent a bit of time sitting by the loch today, where Callater Lodge is. There's a plaque on the door dedicated to a Stan Tennant. Underneath it just says 'he loved this place'. I couldn't disagree with that statement when this is the view

I'll stick them on David's camera thread RB.
Glad you can exercise vicariously, courtesy of my walks. Quite a few miles you've racked up recently...
