    Morning all.

I have no plans for this grey and gloomy looking day.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Huh!!!  Apparently Wonky has been sitting out in the garden in the sunshine in her dressing gown with her coffee and the cats, watching the birds ...... She's only an hour away - we've still got sleet!!!  And there I was feeling sorry for her walking to the bus stop image

She sends greetings to you all - her tablet's misbehaving again  image

I'm going to make a big pot of proper chicken soup for our supper - then it will be ready for us when I return home from a visit I've promised to make this afternoon.

    Good morning all!  image

Hope you find something nice to do, to brighten up your day BL.  How about some baking?  Then you could share with us all...  image

Thanks all, I am definitely still alive this morning (gave myself a pinch to make sure! image) - which is nice because IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!  image  Lots of cards from family, bus pass, as aforementioned, and state pension from the kind taxpayer (thank you all!).  Also a new snuggly dressing gown from OH.  Feel inclined to stay in it, but it's going to be a busy day; OH has to be out, at one of his choirs, and I'm due later this morning at the U3A novel appreciation group, followed by a trip with the U3A gardeners to a plant nursery.  image  (Must take some cash...)  Then another (different) singing group rehearsal this evening.

So - re the bus pass - I think it'll be tomorrow before I use it.  I think I'll start small, and just go to Burnley.  Then maybe go somewhere more interesting with OH later in the week.  He's already had a bus pass for 9 years (he got his before they put up the qualifying age) so he's a seasoned traveller.

Hope the Chickies and Lily P's family are keeping positive, and RB's daughter is feeling calmer today.  We're all rooting for you...  image

    Have a good day, folks!

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

You know how to live Liri...image

Enjoy using it - you've earned it and the pension, after all. Have a smashing birthday too  imageimageimage Go easy on the candles...image

Think that snow's very localised Dove. I still have some where the sun hasn't got to it.

It might make you feel better having a bit of wintery sun doc. Hope things aren't too stressful with the neighbours today.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Hubby is heading to Aberdeen for the ferry to Shetlands. He has been stuck for over an hour on the M6 North, the problem is a pileup and oil spill on southbound. Cumbria is at gridlock.  next ferry is tomorrow night.....

Hard frost overnight, now sunny but cold.

The remainder of the kitchen has been ripped out. Apparently the plasterer is on his way, the ceiling has to be reboarded, and the mess behind where the cupboards have come out has to be seen to be believed. Not the fault of the rip out man, he dismantled cabinets very carefully using a screwdriver.  This morning at 6am I was wiping down surfaces on work surfaces waiting to be ripped out. imageimage

    Happy Birthday Liri.

Dove, does WW use an iPad,? And if so I suppose she knows they benefit from being powered off and re booted?

Our landline and Internet has been off this morning, checked it through the iPad, where they said its a fault on the line and to phone a certain number, not easy when the phones off!  The number they gave wouldn't work on mobile, not that we have any signal at the best of times, it came back on after about two hours.

they reckon we will only be able to get TV through the Internet soon, no aerial or sky dish any more, they will have to buck their ideas up before then, no phone no TV.
