Hi Pat, looks like where going to get some of your weather soon , those pies sound good, did you say your hubby made them too and what is marina a mix?
Hi Flumpy. marinara mix is prawns, calamari, mussels, white fish pieces, scallops.
Yes he made the pies - basically diced lamb and vegetables in pie tins. He usually makes rough puff pastry which is very nice, but not healthy , (250 g butter and 250g flour). He also made another batch of biscuits.
Photo of pies and biscuits, and it seems that he has also made one of those upside down cakes with peaches while he had the oven going. My diet is up to pot!
Rain has arrived here. After the soaking we've had all winter, I'm not unhappy to see it. First in a good couple of weeks.
My cunning plant to lift the waterlillies yesterday has paid off. They're in the polytunnel awaiting my attention.
I've been and had my hair cut, been to Waitrose, bought some logs so hubby doesn't freeze at night.I'm about to have some breaky then head to tunnel with a flast, my iPod and get stuck into messing about in water.
Sorry to hear that your mum isn't well Dove, hope she feels better soon.
Pat, those cakes etc look wonderful, we have just finished all the leftovers from Secondborn's baby shower so trying to be good at the moment.
It's grey and rainy here this morning so no gardening today. H*******k has been done so treated myslef and spent an hour or so looking at plant porn. Have identified some spring bulbs that I want to plant in the Autumn, wish they would stop sending me catalogues
