Been to supermarket, they are having a gardening 2 weeks. They had blood and hoof fertiliser, first time they've had something so similar to BF&B. Do you think I could just chuck over the flower beds or does it have to be worked into the earth?
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I prefer to lightly rake or fork mine into the soil BL. I think the smell sometimes attracts dogs, foxes etc if it's just left on the surface. I use a longhandled cultivator so it's not a particularly arduous job.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Chicky hugs to you & Mr. C and to little chicklet worrying times but I'm sure all will be well.
Lizzie I'll keep my fingers crossed that your much loved dog is okay.
Poor Flatters When mum's cat had an injury like that the vet said someone had given him a bl**dy good kick He was Xrayed for a fractured pelvis but lucky it wasn't. He lost all feeling in his tail and we thought it would need amputating as he was dragging it on the floor. We gave him longer than the vet said before operating and one night as he was asleep and dreaming the end of his tail twitched, he eventually made a full recovery. He wasn't impressed when using his litter tray with us holding his tail He would only go if we looked the other way.
Fairy I might be able to eat a whole one, with some help
Well, I've given the honeysuckles a good cutting back and I've stood and stared at the corner where the tree was trying to work out how we're going to re-design it. Still haven't completely made up my mind - think I need OH out there with me, on the other end of a tape measure
Poor Flatters Because in essence he's a stray who set up home in Wonky's shed, he has a life that she doesn't know about. She's taken him to the vet to be treated for abscesses and paid for his medication, he's had him neutered and pays for his jabs and worming, and she feeds him twice a day and has given him a lovely snug 'Cat Cave' in the shed and she takes her cat Harrie out into the garden to play with him every if the weather is fine, but what does he get up to when the rest of the world is at work or asleep at night?
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Well ,I now have a sink on a temporary fixture and a tap, the dishwasher is plumbed back in, and the clothes washer objected to being moved and died. Appliance shopping tomorrow. Ho hum.
Still only the microwave and kettle for cooking.
I guess the sheep on mull are evolving through necessity. Its pretty grim in winter. I was talking to one lady about using seaweed on the gardens. They have a very short growing season, she said that they get fed up of eating Lobster, they had their own pots.
