Hosta - I don't tea in flasks or out except about once a year I get a yen for a cup of Darjeeling or Assam. The bacon and hot cross bun butties were very good. Home made buns (120km round trip to English shop) toasted and grilled streaky bacon and proper Fair Trade coffee. Yum!
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Obelixx - Darjeeling is the only tea that Wonky and I drink - when she was in her teens/twenties she carried Darjeeling tea bags with her in her bag or pockets wherever she went - they sometimes caused confusion on the occasions when she was searched going into nightclubs/festivals
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Afternoon all. Had a nice short day out and even managed to miss most of the 'weather' which was landing on the surrounding tops, especially the Arrochar hills. Just some hail and sleet showers but even a little bit of sun poked through. Met a girl who was out with her dog Kim - both part of the wonderful local mountain rescue team. A privilege to walk up the hill with her.
I now take coffee in my flask when i walk - tea is horrible. I'm very fussy about it
I saw that programme Hosta - it's all quite sad really.
That sounds slightly odd but very tasty obelixx! I rarely eat bacon but I could be tempted by that.
Cuppa has been had - wondering if I should have some soup or is it too near dinner? Not had anything since breakfast....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I managed a bit of gardening on Friday after we got back from visiting our son & DIL near York, but there's not been much opportunity since... yesterday afternoon's storm, which merely deprived us of TV for 20 mins, removed part of the roof of the new retirement flats in the next town, into which my elderly friend had just moved. To do them justice, McCarthy & Stone had the roof waterproof by nightfall - and as my friend remarked, it did at least mean she found out who her neighbours were! She seems none the worse for the experience, thankfully.
That's a nice terrarium, Chicky. Somewhere in the depths of my shed is a carboy, which I intend to plant up one day...
Hope you're enjoying your weekend, folks.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
It was a suggestion on the BBC Good Food website and it works. Possum, being Capricorn, opted for plain white rolls for hers but then put both HP and tomato sauce on hers. That is weird!

Thought id just tell Hosta that I'm not upside down, but I AM horizontal since it's now 1.30 am. We're up late because we've been watching Jooles Holland. Interesting variety again.
At least we're getting closer in time to the UK now - only 10 hours ahead and in a week it'll be 9 hours, so I'll be able to read your posts in a more timely fashion.
Knocked all the plaster off the chimney breast and his lordship has gone and vacuumed... I take it a hint he doesnt want me to do the next wall today then.
82 weeks ago he ripped the fire place out I think I've waited long enough. We may be spending this summer living in a tent in what remains of the garden!
Hubby home from work now so having a cuppa ( he's having a beer ) No bacon in my HCB, but I'm going to try it, well, get OH to do it for me, before the season passes.
Fairy, I know what you mean re Cadbury's programme, I was sad and angry at the end of it.

Glad you enjoyed the walk, Fairy.
A flask of hot water plus (dry) teabags for me - Redbush or mint for preference
Well, there's something new to try... hot cross bacon butties!

Clari, us chaps don't like to hurry these things.

Glad your friend is ok Liri. The weather wasn't bad here really, so pretty lucky.
Hosta - do you do that 'man' thing of standing looking at something for hours just to make sure, before you get the sledgehammer or the drill out ?
