Been away for the weekend singing with the choir, in Kettlewell. Lovely place, nice house, great crowd, too much food...
Had a strange experience recently. My old college sends a yearly "letter" (a booklet, in fact), but I didn't receive one for last year. My sister did (she went to the same college), and was startled to read in the "deaths" section that I had died in October 2014. She emailed them to assure them I was in fact still alive and kicking, and in today's post was an embarrassed apology together with an invitation to a geographers' lunch, free to me, in May. Don't think I'll be going (it's down south) but it was nice to be asked!
Back to the real world this week. But I've just got my free bus pass, starting tomorrow... where shall I go? Any suggestions?
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Liri, a friend of mine lives here in Devon and at least once a year she travels all the way to Redhill in Surrey using her bus pass.
The world ( ish ) is your oyster.
Hubby gets his next year.
I never got one
whyever not, you're 60 now aren't you?
Wow, Hosta - hadn't thought of going that far, but I suppose there's no limit, providing I don't use express buses.
You have to be state retirement age not just 60 now... it's 60 for a senior railcard though.

Redhill Hosta! That's a trek!! How long does it take her to get there?! It would take me a few hours on the bus from Sussex lol.
