imageHi all, got presented with my prize at the allotment awards last night by the lady Mayor. I have come to the conclusion that you need to be a retired engineer with a degree in Horticulture to win the big silver cups though!! (the veg in the background is my haul of butternut squash)

    Hope you are all wellimage

Thanks GWRS, spoke to one of the judges last night (she is a customer of mine). Apparently you have to be nominated for this competition, so I am very grateful. It is nice to have your hard work  appreciated.image

    Congratulations, Ginagibbs.

I've been busy getting muck, found a local stables and spoke to the owner today. She has over 50 bags of the stuff, said her husband would help load up the car at weekends, there's an unlimited supply.

Autumn arrived overnight here. Most of the leaves have fallen, so drove past the site were I get leaves. There are a couple of piles at the side of the track. I plan to make another compost bay for leaf mulch.

    Happy growing everyone:)

Zoomer that is great to get unlimited supply of manure and help as bags do get heavy, especially when you have to off load them the other end

Over a few days been building shed top layer up all fixed together and put up a waterproof membrane, went brought a tarpauline clear  which is on roof for now, lots of wood planking to go on outside then inside, allotment tomorrow

Lots been going on today at allotments shouting louldy from people near my end of site, so watching them for a while lots of people trying to join in
