  • Done lots of bulb planting yesterday in Woolston garden project, they liked my benches were surprised thought the pixies had been in.

went to the allotment later in day took push mower and cut the grass paths around my plot except the up and down rollercoaster bit of path will eventually dig out and flattern off the path only goes to the brambles and inbetween the plots,  also had a bit of bonfire get some of the blight stuff gone

Gardengirl Woolston garden project sounds very worth good

    Hope alls well with everybody

  • Hi All, had a good couple of hours at the plot yesterday.

cut the grass paths and ended up using scissors to trim up the edges (sad but true!!) I must get some shears lol. Looks very neat now! did lots of weeding and pulled out some of the sweetcorn plants that were finished and a few blighty tomato plants. Feels good to be on top of things again!!image

I am stock piling bags of horse muck, every time I go to the stables, I get 3-4 bags in the boot and drop them off ready for digging in in the winter.image

Just been to Homebase, they had some bargain autumn raspberry plants for £2.50 but didnt buy any as I have one already and cant keep up with it!! (I pick a punnet full every day) Bought a 6 pack of white Cyclamens and a Heuchera instead for the garden. Heuchera was a bargain at £2.50!

Did'nt see any garlic for sale yet GWRS, dont have room for planting yet so will have to wait till later in the year. image

Not been to the plot for a while, ankles fine now so got lots done.

Cut down mini pop plants, 3 wheel barrows full before it started to rain. Cleared plants in GH, picked the last toms and peppers and hung chilli plants up to dry.

We've not had a muck delivered all yr so went off and found a farm giving it away. Got 6 bags, it's not rotted down though, can it still be used if the bed isn't going to be planted in until Spring..

  • Hi all, had a lovely few hours at the plot yesterday, weather was gorgeous.  Cleared out the sweetcorn, and some more tomato's that had finished, and did some mowing (again) Planted some pak choi.  Found a frog hiding under the cabbages, hope he will eat all my snails now the chickens have gone.

Glad your ankles are better Zoomer, you must be so glad to get back on your feet!
