Thanks Herbaceous.   Seems Sony is the way to go.

Cloudberry talk makes me think of the witches in the Dark Materials trilogy.

Probably a bit fuzzy cos taken thru a window but here's a woodpecker feeding its baby from our peanut feeder.  Lots of entertainment every year as we have several woody families now.

They look cute but are quite aggressive with other birds and other woodies.  We have one group whose antecedents favoured the fat balls and this lot who prefer the peanuts but there's hell to pay if both lots visit at once or some other bird is at either of "their" feeders.

Have to agree my Sony Cybershot is fantastic. My camera has 18x optical zoom and I've been able to catch such marvellous sights as a stag in the Highlands and a swooping Kingfisher which are gone in a flash. No pun intended lol. I will dig out the pics image

Lirio, the caterpillar is  Emperor Gum Moth and was on a tree just behind our house.

The cat photo made me laugh as well. It was sent to me by a friend along with the caption.

Joyce as above, the cat photo wasnt mine, but the little leverett was mine. We think the mother must have hidden it there for safety.

Thanks for the info, Pat.  I didn't think it was a caterpillar I was familiar with.  image

    Ahhhhh, Sheps, adorable.
