The Gingernut Cover-up ?

Hi,

Now when I am potting I like to have a gingernut with my cuppa, but to my horror this weekend when I went to two large supermarkets , I found the shelves empty....with just an out of stock sign . Is anyone aware that there is a national gingernut shortage? Has Global warning affected ginger growers ?

Yours anxiously

Helen

Possibly the poor ginger crop identified in 2011 has fed through at last?

  • Thank you for the responses so far...but I feel there is some truth to the ginger shortage and dunking a jaffa cake I am afraid would not be a suitable alternative  image

Make your own?  Biscuits are easy.

I have read about prejudice against people with ginger hair. This has affected some to the extent that they are driven to dye their hair brown.

Could your biscuits have been camouflaged with chocolate?
