Lovely cup of tea in bed this morning looking at all your lovely pics
especially loving the shop drops and birds and I think hefty your sixth pic of a very dark blue flower, like a salvia? Please can you let me know what it is
Good to see you Beaus - enjoy the cuppa. It's so encouraging to see all the lovely flowers that are blooming already. I think we have a few snowdrops and hellebore buds but that's about it so far but you've all shown that Spring is coming.
I'm not posting a pic of my winter garden as it looks like a building site. Fence is going up and the grass has been macerated by boots as it's been raining all week :-/
Lou, I really like before and after pics. I was looking through mine so I'll show you. The garden in 1991, the year after we moved in. Ground has been prepared for sowing grass. Garden is big so we had help for this. But the help was disappointing as they rotovated the grass and weeds, then raked it, but loads of roots were left behind so there were horrid things like bindweed and couch grass chopped up all over it.
Second pic is in May 1994, some of the red is Sweet Williams. Roses start flowering in May here in SW France.
Third pic is June 2013. I hope they all come out in the right order. I usually have to download the last pic first.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

BL , the garden looks really nice
Lovely to see how the garden took shape Lizzie
. And amazing how quickly you first transformed it
..... it came a long way in just three years
Definitely take pix Lou
You've worked so hard to get that lovely transformation BL - I bet when you look at those pix you feel quite proud of your achievements. Deservedly so
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
