David asked " How did your rose renovations go?" They worked well for Meg and one Mme Alfred Carrière which are romping away, but the other Mme Alfred has finally died. She's been removed, soil changed and a climber called "Belle Epoque", which I had never heard of and was recommended by the man in the nursery, has been planted.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Love your tulips Yvie. Don't suppose you have a name for the purple one in the first photo do you? I am planning a purple theme for next year, and that looks perfect?????
Pat, if you lose a thread - like this one for example - go into your settings at the top of the page and go into your posts. You'll be able to find it there quite quickly if you've posted on it. If you haven't posted, put Garden Pictures into the search box and it'll bring up the relevant threads from the last few years.
I do that frequently as I don't do the email notifications.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Iris season has begun-hurray,
and the gravel plants are happy.
sometimes the photo feature on this site is odd.
At last I've worked out to find the garden pictures thread. There'll be no stopping me now, I'll find all the old ones I used to browse.

Begonias par excellence.
I'm not a fan of begonias but even I have to admit....that's impressive!
My uncle loved them because they're snail/slug proof apparently.
Just threw them in for the size & colour, pp.......taken at Southport Flower Show.
