    When I go into the garden without a doubt it is my roses that are the stars.

  • I have William Shakespeare and John Betjamin and Matisse.  They bring a bit of a different culture to the garden!  Right now I am thrilled to see the Angelonia I bought early on and enjoyed its show of lovely flowers which were over by the end of August has recovered from my cutting it back and is flowering again.  it looks like i shall have another three months or so of pleasure from its pretty flowers.  Will definitely buy another one next year - a pink one I

  • I think I have to add my star bought from ebay and arrived very poorly indeed the first pic shows it after about four weeks of tender care and the last image shows it as my star I love it how ever the bees havent found it yet

    your roses look great too - not just the flowers, but lovely leaves too - not a spot in sight !

    The star in my garden just now  is - all the plants I've bought in the last few weeks just waiting to be put into new borders!

  • Chicky yes it’s a helenium 

    Not sure what to do with it? It’s still in a plastic pot in a patio pot if that makes any sense I think I will wait until first frost trim it down to about 3" and move it to the greenhouse until the spring is that correc

    Heleniums are hardy, mine live in the flowerbeds in winter.

    Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
