Stunning colours Verdun I particularly like the first one of yellow- purple-red, I don't know what that blonde shrub is in the foreground but it really sets it off. The darker purple flower in the last pic (09:44) is that a Verbena of some kind?
Thanks for your compliments guys. The rudbeckias have been amazing this year, most were seeds and one I got given. I can't grow every daisy type flower but the Ruds seem happy enough.
Lyn and Beaus Mum, you have to sing the songs if you mention them! I'll sing 'whole world in his hands' because it reminds me of assembly from back in the day
Stunning Verd - so pleased you can now share pics (cheapo or not, they look great to me!)
Like Victoria, love the colours in the first one esp - the dahlia and the red grass are superb together.
Never tried acteas - might have to go on my ever growing list
I planted a couple of aconitums last year (got the from West Acre, as it happens) - this year they look healthy, with lots of foliage, but no flowers - do they take a while to settle in?
the cosmos were one of a pink variety of mixed seeds - nice combo of whites and pinks, not bad for a couple of quid, think they clash a bit with the dahlia but it was a case of bunging in what I had.

Sorry Clare, that didn't work. Did you use the oak tree icon, follow instructions and wait for each stage. Takes a bit of time.
Random dahlia - lost label from morrisons
Hi
