Is anybody else having problems uploading their photo's? I have been trying for a few days now and the GW system is telling me there seems to be a problem and the technical team have been made aware!

Yviestevie, your hollyhocks look very healthy compared to mine. I put them in new in May and they have not done well at all. They are covered in what I believe to be a kind of leaf rust. Has anybody else's suffered the same?  They look so ugly I am very tempted to just cut them down and hope for better next year.

Verdun, I put two Buddelia Buzz Ivory into patio pots last year and had a hard job getting them out a few months ago to pot them on. I have put them in the border this year instead and they are once again looking absolutely beautiful and covered in peacock butterflies at the moment.

Orchid, the crystal lemon have a slight taste of lemon, not overpowering.

Mrs T12, it has been slow and taken me a minute a photo.

Hi Mrs T,  They do have rust some worse than others.  I have planted chaters salmon for next year, but I have the seeds for Antwerp which are supposed to have a high resistance to rust and I will plant them so they flower the year after.  Has anyone else grown these, if so are they rust resistant.

Great piccies everyone, Ive never heard of crystal lemon either what exactly are they.

OL, the cucumbers are Crystal Apple, Mr. Fothergills seeds. The packet says that as they ripen they become deep yellow. I would not like to eat them any more ripe than they are now as the seeds are already quite large.image

Thanks for the update Artjak, I dont currently grow any fruit or veg garden is quite small, but when the grandchildrens playhouse is relegated to the scrap heap I think a raised bed might be on the cards.

    Great idea BM image

I've got another pot of them in amongst the collection in the middle of the garden just now. They're a lovely colour - and great with whites, so they'll be very pretty with your daisies.

I've got a Phormium 'Cream Wave' in front of the ones in that raised bed, and they work very well with  that too.
