Kef - I nearly bought one today at Ross on Wye market but hesitated.  After seeing yours I wish I had bought it.  I hesitated as I wondered if it is a bit of a thug.  Could you let me know how you get on with it.  Thanks.

Forester2  It's been in that spot about 9 years, it's the first time it's flowered. It has spread this last year, maybe because I 've grow veg behind it and soil was enriched. Underneath it is the remains of an old path, that's why the Phormium and Cordyline are ok, near to it, it free drains.

I cut it back to about a foot/ 18' each March / April. Next year I will didvide it, doubt the transplant will do as well where it's going, but I'll give it a try.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks KEF that does help.  I'll go to Ross market next Thursday and see if they have another one as I think it looks very attractive.

We had a frost this morning -2°, but dahlia "Pooh" is still in full flower!

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • The start in my garden today is my brand new composter that arrived this morning before I got up! Can't wait to start feeding my new chum!
