I'm a total novice re cannas Verdun. I want more, but I want more of lots of stuff too.

I intend to track down one of the Tropicanna Black though.

I have the most beautiful coral pink canna. No idea about the name. I'd be happy to send you a chunk when I split them.

I'm determined to get my my " tropical " border going.

I've got tiny tetrapanax rex , sent from a forum member and  my coloacasia tubers are drying for next year.

A friend has just come to UK from his home in Crete and has some fresh ricinus seeds for me.

Ricinus seeds contain (unsurprisingly) ricin, which is one on the most toxic substances there is.  Whom are you plotting to do away with?   (With whom are you plotting to do away??  Away with whom are you plotting to do??)

(It's time they used that method in Midsomer, methinks!)

Oh dear, I just sprinkled something that says it keeps moles away all over my long border. Bought it in a French farm shop and I see it has ricin in it.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
