Dove - did you get a duff present because your birthday was so close to Christmas? image

I'd rather have snow and frost - we get so much cold, wet windy stuff. Bone freezing image

Anyway - apparently it's all true - the Bewick swans have arrived nearly a month early from Russia. We're all doomed I tell you....image

Do they arrive in Cadillacs?  Bewick/Buick - get it?  image

    I'll get me coat...

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

January is much better than November Hostafan. It's 2 months closer to spring and things are emerging rather than dying back. Days are getting longer instead of shorter. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

good point about the nights getting shorter nut.

I just think everyone looks so miserable in Jan. Christmas is never as great as they hoped it would be. Everyone's skint.

Best thing about January next year? We'll be in The Gambia for 4 weeks. image

I hate snow as I can't get up the drive. I prefer mild, wet days.
