Disappointed it was cloudy here at the time as I'd love to have seen it - especially since it obviously cleared slightly late.  Very cold and clear when I got up at 7am image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Well done Bob, you have cheered me up again with your public spirited photography. Maybe I will let another eclipse happen soon after all... image

  • Congratulations, BobtG: your public-spirited efforts fully deserve their wide acclamation!! Unfortunately it was (mostly) too cloud-covered here in coastal South Pembs!! [I'll need to stick around & wait for the next one!!].

  • Thanks for all the kind comments folks! image

Fingers crossed for clear skies during my next project - capturing the Leonid meteor shower on video (night of November 17 until dawn November 18.)

I thought I had missed it, as it was 3 am, I walked to my local Tesco on the 30th, around 6.30 in th evening and there it was in front of me, sitting on the roof of a bungalow in the next road, absolutely huge AND red.   Not sure whether it was lovelly or creepy.  I remember being out in an eclipse about 13 years ago, and I didnt like that at all, to me it was like going blind.
